ASUS Philippines just became the first ever smartphone brand in the country to officially launch a new device in 2018. The company kicked off the year with its ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1), a highly anticipated new addition to its ZenFone Max Series that has high-capacity batteries as a collective hallmark.

“This is the beginning of all beginnings, and our excitement is at an all-time high with the opportunity to start the year anew with a launch as big as this,” said ASUS Philippines Country Manager for Systems Group George Su. “We invite you all once again for another round of game-changing innovation in the mobile industry with our latest offering, the ZenFone Max Plus.”

The newest ‘Battery King’ (a moniker that applies to the entire ZenFone Max lineup) is equipped with a powerful, non-removable battery. With a 5.70-inch touchscreen display, the device comes in a dimension of 152.60 X 73 X 8.80 cm (height X width X thickness). It is packed with 16MP of primary camera on the rear and 8MP of front shooter to please selfie enthusiasts.

Battery life
Being the latest ‘Battery King’ in the growing lineup of the ASUS ZenFone Max Series, the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is equipped with 4,130mAH high capacity and high-density battery, which unbelievably contributes to the device’s overall compact dimensions. Because of the king-size capacity of the battery, the smartphone can last up to 26 hours on standby, up to 26 hours of 3G talk time, up to 21 hours of Internet browsing (whether via cellular data or Wi-Fi), and up to 13 hours of video playback. Plus, it can also function as a handy power bank to charge a user’s other devices.

Design
The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) showcases an elegantly designed slim body. It comes with premium metal finish with curved front edges, making it exceptionally comfortable to grip and hold. The smartphone takes an 80% screen-to-body ratio, which allows ergonomic features that exceed those of standard 5.2-inch smartphones. The device is available in three color options—Sunlight Gold, Deepsea Black, and Azure Silver.

Photography features
The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is designed to facilitate unrivalled creative possibilities when it comes to taking photos. It has a front f/20 selfie camera for better-quality selfies, complemented by an advanced dual rear-camera system to bring mobile photography to a whole new level. The 16MP PixelMaster main camera comes with a broad f/20 aperture lens capturing clearer photos and a phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) system that focuses on the subject with distinct accuracy (even if the subject is moving) in as fast as 0.03 seconds. The secondary 120 wide-angle camera has 200% wider field of view compared to standard mobile cameras.

Phone security
When it comes to phone security, the ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is noted for being the first ever ZenFone to have the Face Unlock feature. It gives the user a fast, secure, and convenient alternative to the rear fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device when he/she is wearing gloves due to weather conditions.

The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is now available nationwide with a tag price of P11,995.
