PLDT Home’s free online benefit concert successfully raised more than P1 million during its live streaming session on July 14, 2020. ‘At Home with PLDT: No Learner Left Behind’ was mounted for the benefit of students, teachers, and schools across the country as the national education system adapts the new normal and gears towards online distance learning.

National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab led the roster of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists who topbilled the free online event—Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, Pops Fernandez, and Martin Nievera. Several musical theater artists also performed songs full of hope and inspiration during the hour-long special—Gian Magdangal, 8 Taal Ensemble, Yanah Laurel, Sheila Valderama, Lara Maigue, Arman Ferrer, Gabriela Pangilinan, David Ezra, and Flord Tena.

At Home with PLDT: No Learner Left Behind’ has become a venue for Filipinos to show support for each other as they rediscover what really matters to them—their loved ones at home. “With PLDT Home’s long-time commitment to make education and online learning accessible to more Filipinos, the country’s fastest home broadband continues to deliver the strongest and most reliable connections so that families can enjoy meaningful relationships and create an effective learning environment for children at home,” the company said in a statement.

The free online concert is a joint effort of PLDT Home and PLDT-Smart Foundation. It is aimed at helping make education accessible for all through distance learning in the new normal. Proceeds will be donated to students and teachers in far-flung communities, enabling them through broadband connectivity and maximizing the use of technology to facilitate school activities from home.

Interested donors can still continue to support the cause through donating via PLDT-Smart Foundation’s Paymaya and bank accounts. You can also text DONATE<Space><Amount> and send it to 3456.
