Bayad Center launches its own mobile app

In line with its aim to reach out to more customers through various touchpoints, Bayad Center has launched its own mobile app. BC Mobile app is now up and downloadable for free on iOS (Apple Store) and Android (Google Play) devices.

The new app is also intended to complement the payment solutions provider’s over 12,000 payment locations across the country. As a one-stop online shop for bills payment, BC Mobile app is designed to eliminate the need to fill out forms and use mail bills when making payments. It facilitates convenient payments anytime, anywhere through a customer’s smartphone.

“Everyone wants everything to be simple,” said Bayad Center Marketing Head Wendell Kristian Labre. “The BC Mobile is just that. It puts together in one app all your payment needs—no bells and whistles.”

App features
Aside from the main feature, which is to facilitate instant and online Bills Payment, BC Mobile app also has several other useful capabilities. The Bill Reminder feature notifies a user about upcoming and present bills’ due dates. This way, a customer can manage his/her personal finances better. “You can easily customize the notifications based on what is most financially convenient for you,” Labre said.

The Branch Locator feature makes finding the nearest Bayad Center location in a user’s area much easier and faster. It can also be used for locating Bayad Center sites in any specific area (not necessarily the nearest) if a customer prefers to do transactions in another city or community. This feature is intended for app users who still prefer to make over-the-counter payments. Both Bills Payment and Branch Locator features can also be accessed offline.

Assured security
Bayad Center assures that its BC mobile app facilitates secure online payments as it eliminates the risk of possibly exposing a user’s financial information and other data. Its security system makes it a safe platform for payments using credit or debit cards and even PayPal.

Payment postings will also be made the same day a bill is paid, except for when a payment is made after 8 p.m., in which case the posting will reflect on the following day. For payments on government institutions and agencies, standard posting dates (about three days for Social Security Services remittances, for instance) will also apply.

Upcoming features
Upon its launch, BC Mobile app is already preparing to roll out additional features in the coming months. Bayad Center disclosed that it is now in talks to make money transfer or remittance services available via the mobile app. This could be added along with prepaid loading and insurance selling services.

BC Mobile app would also be tied up with Bayad Center’s soon-to-be-launched Loyalty Program. Other upcoming features for the app include Bills Payment Management (viewing of payment history across available channels) and Crowd Sourcing Tools (logging in, posting comments, and providing other information that may be useful to other app users).

Motoring blogger and TV host James Deakin was also launched as BC Mobile app’s brand ambassador.
