Cebu Pacific announces flexible flight options until January 15

Cebu Pacific has disclosed that it is currently managing the impact of Covid-19 on its workforce. The budget carrier has received an unprecedented number of employees who are either sick or under home quarantine. Thus, despite the company’s best efforts, the situation has resulted in reductions in scheduled flights.

“We are doing our best to address the needs of both our employees and passengers as we manage this situation and remain committed to prioritizing health and safety above all else,” said Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog.

“We apologize for the inconvenience this has brought about to our passengers and thank everyJuan for their kind understanding, as the whole world navigates through this pandemic,” she added.

Cebu Pacific has admitted that flight delays and on-the-spot cancellations remain a possibility due to uncertainties these days. Consequently, the airline is encouraging its passengers who are travelling for non-essential purposes to take any of the available options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website from January 8 to 15:

Rebook

Rebook for travel within 60 days at no additional cost, following the carrier’s permanent removal of change fees. Fare difference is waived.

Travel Fund

Store the amount in a virtual Cebu Pacific wallet that is valid for 2 years. Use the amount to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.).

Refund

The process may take up to 2 months from the date of request.

Cebu Pacific operates with 100% fully vaccinated active flying crew. Its pilots and cabin crew undergo regular antigen testing (Test Before Duty) before they are assigned to operate flights. Cebu Pacific has already started its booster program to ensure the continued safety of its employees and passengers.

Passengers are advised to update their contact details through this link. Cebu Pacific aims to continue notifying guests on flight changes, reminders, and updates.

Prior to going to the airport, passengers are also advised to check travel requirements, safety protocols, and frequently asked questions on the Cebu Pacific website. For further inquiries, passengers may also send a message through the Charlie the Chatbot on the Cebu Pacific online site.
