Beginning July 12, 2020, Cebu Pacific is resuming its weekly flights to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In an advisory released by the budget carrier over the weekend, the airline will fly every week to Dubai—Manila to Dubai flight 5J 18 every Sunday with departure time 6:55 p.m. (Manila time) and its return flight 5J 19 from Dubai to Manila every Monday with departure time 3:30 a.m. (Dubai time).
Cebu Pacific keeps on reminding its passengers traveling to Dubai to adhere to the basic requirement—obtain travel and health insurance coverage before arrival, as required by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. Passengers without valid health insurance may be denied check-in or boarding at the Dubai International Airport.
Government quarantine and travel regulations apply for all passengers flying between Manila and Dubai. Passengers confirmed on the flights are required to follow Contact Flights guidelines, including the wearing of masks, doing online check-in, being at the airport 3 hours prior to the flight schedule, counter closure of 1 hour before the flight, observing maximum one hand-carry per person, adhering to contactless boarding procedures, and physical distancing.
The company also reminds passengers on canceled Manila-Dubai-Manila flights to rebook online through the ‘Manage Booking’ portal in Cebu Pacific’s official website.
Other flights
Meanwhile, all other Cebu Pacific international flights from July 11 to 31, 2020 will remain canceled. Passengers of canceled international flights (to other destinations) may avail of any of the flexible options by managing their bookings online via the carrier’s website. Such transactions are free of charge. They may rebook their flights for travel within the next 3 months; avail of a full refund; or place the full cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund valid for 1 year.
For domestic flights, Cebu Pacific and Cebgo are still operating with a limit, as aligned with regulations issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), as well as limitations and restrictions set by the concerned local government agencies/units. The schedule of domestic flights posted on the Cebu Pacific website is constantly updated. Previously scheduled domestic flights that are not included in the updated list are canceled.
Passengers on canceled domestic flights may also rebook online to any of the available flights. They are strongly urged to select destinations that are closest to their residences, to be able to comply with directives from local authorities. Passengers may be asked to provide their complete addresses prior to the travel date. The provision of inaccurate information may result in denied boarding of the flight.
Quarantine conditions
Lastly, Cebu Pacific reminds its passengers that because of the developing situation, its operations may change as quarantine conditions evolve across its network. The company may abruptly reduce or add flights depending on market demand, quarantine restrictions, and government regulations.
Cebu Pacific commits to informing flight statuses in a timely manner through email or contact numbers provided upon booking. Passengers who booked through travel agencies or any other third party are urged to check with them for updated information regarding their flights before their travel dates.
