Do you aim to help fellow Filipinos who have lost income opportunities due to the community quarantine that is implemented in Metro Manila, Luzon, and other affected areas in the country? One of the options you have is to donate cash to ABS-CBN Foundation’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig campaign.
Cebuana Lhuillier is supporting such an initiative in its own way. The microfinance services firm is waiving remittance fees for donations to the program coursed through any of its over 2,500 locations nationwide.
“Cebuana Lhuillier has always been there for Filipinos in whatever challenge they face,” said Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier. “Together with ABS-CBN, we hope to show everyone that we can see this by working together as a nation.”
ABS-CBN Foundation launched the campaign on March 19 for the benefit of local workers whose main sources of income have been disrupted by the month-long and abrupt community quarantine. The Lopez Group jumpstarted the initiative by donating P100 million. As of press time, the campaign has generated about P237 million in cash donations.
