Tech-enabled BPO firm expands call center in Davao

Heeding the call by the national government to bring more jobs to the countryside, another contact center firm has launched its new center in the Davao Park District in Davao City. iQor, a managed services provider of customer engagement and technology-enabled business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions, is taking this measure to meet the growing demand from its clientele.

iQor’s Davao expansion is part of its growth strategy to bring in more than 5,000 new jobs nationwide by the end of 2019. Expanding by 70,000 square feet across two locations, the company has modernized its present center with a new recruiting space, and an expanded breakroom and gaming area. The newly-built call center can house 1,200 call center agents at one time.

“iQor is looking forward to growing in the City of Davao,” said iQor Philippines Senior Vice President for Operations Rod Hoddinott. “The City is an ideal region, thanks to its highly proficient workforce and educated talent pool. It will remain one of our fastest-growing regions as we work with clients to solve complex problems across a variety of channels.”

iQor has recruited more than 2,000 new employees across Davao and plans to continue hiring more. The company operates in other locations aside from Metro Manila—Dasmariñas, Davao, Iloilo, Talisay, Bacolod, Santa Rosa, and Clark.
