The love month has begun. Jollibee obviously takes this as a cue to roll out its traditional #KwentongJollibee Valentine series of short films. These special video ads are meant to touch everyone’s heart with stories of different kinds of love.
This year, Jollibee aims to make everyone ‘believe in the power of love’ through three ordinary love stories that were executed in ways that make those extraordinary. These are narratives that surely relate with everyone’s own experiences.
The first two short films were initially rolled out through Jollibee’s Facebook page on Thursday (February 1). The third video will be uploaded on Friday (February 2).
The first short film is a sequel to the 2017 #KwentongJollibee Valentine offering entitled ‘Crush,’ which was the most watched of all the three videos launched that season on YouTube (generating over 2.6 million views to date). As of press time, ‘Homecoming’ has been viewed over 1.5 million times on Facebook and over 15,000 times on YouTube. Here’s the video, directed by Joel Ruiz.
If you are fond of looking for signs to find your one true love, the short film ‘Signs’ is your kind of stuff. It is a new story that takes everyone back to the thrill, disappointment, and joy of finding unexpected love as a teen. This video ad, directed by Theodore Boborol, has already generated over 2.5 million views on Facebook, as of press time, and over 13,000 views on YouTube.
Finally, the short film ‘Status’ is set to roll out 6 p.m. on February 2 on Jollibee’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Update: Jollibee has posted the third #KwentongJollibee Valentine video on Friday (February 2). Here’s the video directed by Ianco de laCruz:
