This Yuletide Season, LBC is encouraging more Filipinos to send gifts to their relatives or friends abroad especially in the U.S. The 72-year-old cargo, logistics, and money remittance service provider has rolled out ‘Send to the USA and Travel Promo,’ which is raffling free getaway packages to various Asian destinations.
To qualify, send a cargo to any address in the U.S. through any LBC branch nationwide from October 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. Three lucky raffle winners (one each from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao) will each get a travel package worth P30,000 to any country within Asia. There would also be 80 minor prize winners who would each get a World Travel luggage. Raffle date is set on January 12, 2018.
This is LBC’s way of recognizing customers who ship packages to the land of White Christmas. Based on company data, the U.S. is the top destination of international shipments from the Philippines, followed by Canada and neighboring Asian countries. The promo would also highlight LBC’s global reach as it delivers cargoes and packages to more than 250 countries around the world.
The U.S. is a special market for LBC. The company made ‘Balikbayan Box’ famous when it opened its first international location in San Francisco, California in 1985. At the same time, it has brought its money remittance service to the area (and eventually to other countries) to cater to numerous Overseas Working Filipinos who need to send money back home.
