Do you need to go to the mall today? Fortunately, all malls in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby cities and provinces are already operational but are observing protocols in the new normal. As the government plans to further extend the implementation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) provision across Mega Manila and nearby areas, most malls have updated their operating hours.
Before you drop by, be reminded of the standard protocols: wear your facemask and face shield all the time while inside mall premises, prepare to be subjected to body temperature checks before entering the mall, sanitize your hands upon entry, and observe physical distancing (1 meter or more).
Some stores are strictly regulating entries of customers, so you’ll have to wait in a queue before being allowed entry. Also, prepare your smartphone for filling up contact-tracing forms via QR code or be ready to fill up physical forms. Only people aged 18 to 65 years are allowed entry into malls, requiring some personnel to constantly check on your valid IDs occasionally.
