Super service app MyKuya expands service offerings anew on its 5.0 update

Since its launch in 2017, MyKuya app has been offering an easier way to hire personnel who will do just about anything for the app users—from grocery delivery and personal shopping to washing one’s car. There is no doubt that the homegrown super service app has gained more popularity amid community quarantine and travel restrictions.

Now, MyKuya app promises to further extend its on-demand services with its latest update—MyKuya 5.0. With its expanding array of offered services, the app has become even more helpful not just to its users but also to its various partner-service providers that are undergoing digital transformation and are aiming to widen their potential reach.

“MyKuya wants to help empower pre-existing businesses to compete in the new on-demand service economy,” said MyKuya founder Shabab Shabibi. “That means we’ve worked with a host of manpower and technical service agencies in order to generate more opportunities for people.”

Growing list of services

Through the years, among the most in-demand services hired through MyKuya are on-call barbers (from partner barbershop/ haberdashery Felipe & Sons that bring services to customers’ homes) and all-around riders (who can also carry out different errands like sorting out papers at offices). Through MyKuya 5.0, app users can now book for personnel who can do other important and tedious tasks at home or office like air conditioner cleaning, plumbing, and electrical servicing.

MyKuya 5.0 now offers services from a wider range of industries possible through its continuously expanding partnerships. “Some of the largest companies and industry leaders in healthcare, retail, logistics, and so on have reached out to us to use the infrastructure we have to create their own on-demand apps with their brand and our help,” Shabibi revealed. Among the new partners of the Makati City-based company are SM Supermalls, Ministop, and Robinsons.

“Our stack of technologies is similar to what some of the world’s biggest on-demand service startups have grown their business on,” said Shabibi. “It’s really great for small and medium-sized companies looking for an additional avenue for growth.”

How it works

With its time-based service, MyKuya offers full freedom for you to decide how long you will book a Kuya or Ate’s service. Moreover, the app is easy to use.

To start seeking MyKuya’s service, download the latest version of the app on Google Play (for Android devices) or Apple Store (for iOS devices) and sign up for an account.

What help do you need? Choose from the app’s list of services. Input your exact address or location. Then, add the other pertinent details like how long you need the partner to carry on with the task. Find your Kuya or Ate match.

Opt to pay for the hired service in cash or with the app’s MyKoins, a customized payment mode that can be easily topped up via GCash or PayMaya. You can even rate the service rendered so you could provide feedback and help MyKuya serve you and other customers better.
