OPPO has successfully concluded its first Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in a breath-taking battle among four teams. The OPPO Game On Cup 2022 hailed AP 2.0 as champions at the end of a daylong live event held on July 26, 2022 at the Main Center Atrium of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
Four e-sports teams were shortlisted and faced each other during the battles, which were also livestreamed through OPPO’s social media platforms. Those were Click Esports, K Signs Gaming, El Ganador Knights, and AP 2.0 that emerged as the winner.
“Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is one of the well-loved mobile games in the gaming community in the country. Aside from being a source of entertainment, some are playing to follow the footsteps of their favorite e-sports teams, like Blacklist International,” said OPPO Philippines Head of Marketing Communications Chiqui Tapawan.
“At OPPO, we hope that the OPPO Game On Cup 2022 be a stepping stone for involved teams to pursue their dreams in e-sports whether they win or lose, as we reached the end of the tournament,” Tapawan added.

The top 16 advanced to the next level, the Qualifiers Phase 2, which happened on June 4 and 5 wherein teams faced single-elimination rounds in best-of-three matches.
Eight teams advanced to the Day 1 of Playoffs held on June 17 with single-elimination round, best-of-three matches. Four teams qualified with the semi-finals and faced each other at the Day 2 of Playoffs, which was also the championship day.

Also part of the event’s highlights was the presence of Blacklist International (BLCK), OPPO A96’s ambassador. During the halftime show, the group graced a quick media interview, played parlor games with the OPPO community winners, and had a meet and greet with fans. They even divided their group into two to coach each of the final competing teams—AP 2.0 and El Ganador Knights.
“We are grateful to be a part of the OPPO Game On Cup 2022 as we got an opportunity to interact with the OPPO Community and coach the teams in the finals. We are glad that many Filipinos like the game we love, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and that one day they may enter e-sports just like us,” said BLCK.
