In line with its brand promise of being the Selfie Expert, OPPO Philippines observed National Selfie Day on November 30. And in real OPPO fashion, it celebrated the day in the most memorable way—by bringing hundreds of OPPO fans, press people, and bloggers (with their families and/or friends) to Enchanted Kingdom, the country’s first and still the only world-class theme park.
OPPO treated its guests with unlimited access to the theme park’s numerous rides and a variety of food choices available in food stalls and restaurants within the area. Several selfie spots with inflated OPPO logos were also scattered across Enchanted Kingdom for everyone who wanted to take selfies with the brand’s emblem as background using their OPPO F5 smartphones, which are perfect for the purpose with its 20MP A.I. front camera and 16MP rear camera.
National Selfie Day at Enchanted Kingdom culminated with a memorable mini concert featuring one of the most iconic OPM bands, Parokya ni Edgar. During the program, OPPO also unveiled the latest addition to the F5 line-up, the limited edition OPPO F5 6GB (now available at all OPPO concept stores nationwide until supplies last for just P21,990). Then, it announced its partnership with Miss Possibilities, a pageant for girls with special needs.
“National Selfie Day is both a celebration and a reward to our fans for their undying loyalty and support to the brand,” said OPPO Philippines Public Relations Manager Eason de Guzman. “And what better way to celebrate this day than to share this with people that matter to them the most—their family and friends.”
Extending National Selfie Day
The highlight of the day was the biggest announcement—OPPO is giving away more than 100 smartphones in 6 weeks, from November 30, 2017 to January 10, 2018. Every Friday, which began on December 8 until January 12, the brand is announcing winners of 18 OPPO smartphones—three OPPO F5, six OPPO F3, and nine OPPO A37—to fans via the Official OPPO Facebook page.
During its first week, over 25,000 entries were received prior to the December 8 raffle draw. As of this writing, more than 264,000 total selfies were already submitted by OPPO fans. There is still much time for everyone to join the promo. Each participant can submit three selfies per day.
