Panda Express PH launches Mongolian Pork, the first pork entrée in its menu

Panda Express is introducing another popular entrée into its Philippine menu. Beginning May 9, 2021, the globally popular American-Chinese dining will start serving Mongolian Pork, its first pork entrée, which is already popular in other countries where the brand operates.

Panda Express’ Mongolian Pork is comprised of tender pork shoulder and crisp vegetables—wok-tossed in savory ginger and garlic sauce. The entrée is traditionally made of pork, stir-fried with white and green onions, but Panda Express further deepens the layers of flavors to make the dish uniquely American-Chinese by adding mushrooms and bell peppers.

The complex flavors are attained through the layering of ingredients—aromatics as a flavor base, pork seared perfectly to lock in distinct juiciness, freshly-cut vegetables cooked to bring out the sweet caramelized flavor, and ginger plus garlic soy sauce to provide the ideal finish.

The smoky, umami flavor of the dish is also brought about by the unique cooking technique—‘Wok Hei,’ or ‘breath of the wok’ through mastering heat, flame, and the wok.

Panda Express recommends pairing the Mongolian Pork with the famous Orange Chicken, which is the brand’s signature crispy chicken dish that is wok-tossed in sweet and spicy orange sauce. This pork entrée could also pair well with the award-winning Honey Walnut Shrimp that is made with large tempura-battered shrimp tossed in honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts. Complete your plate with the delicious Chow Mein—stir-fried noodle dish with celery, onions, and cabbage.

Enjoy Panda Express’ Mongolian Pork this 9th of May, also coinciding with Mothers’ Day. Visit the restaurant’s PH locations in SM Megamall (Ground Level of Building A) and SM North EDSA. Panda Express is open for dine-in and takeout transactions. You can also have your Panda Express meals delivered via GrabFood or foodpanda.
