Fast-casual restaurant Panda Express has announced the opening of its second store in the Philippines. In a press release, the biggest American-Chinese dining concept in the world disclosed that it is set to open a new location on February 12, 2021. It will be at SM North Edsa in Quezon City.
Panda Express opened its first local store in December 2019 at SM Megamall Building A. It landed in the country through JBPX Foods, 50/50 joint venture between Jollibee Group and Panda Restaurant Group.
The brand will bring its best-seller signature dishes up north. Among those are Original Orange Chicken (wok-tossed crispy chicken in a sweet and tangy sauce), the classic favorite Broccoli Beef (tender beef and fresh broccoli in ginger soy sauce), and Eggplant Tofu (a plant-based dish with lightly browned tofu, eggplant, and red bell peppers tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce).
Lunar New Year Treat
Panda Express’ SM North location opening also coincides with the restaurant’s Lunar New Year celebration. This year, it will feature a lantern-festival-themed photo wall installation, where customers can line up to pick red envelopes from the interactive display containing freebies.
Lucky customers may claim their prizes upon presentation of their winning fortunes in store. To ensure the safety of crew members and customers, Panda Express ensures proper physical distancing and health protocols.
For delivery
Panda Express is also reminding its loyal customers that its popular menu can be enjoyed at home. Delivery orders can be made via Facebook Messenger and food delivery apps like foodpanda and GrabFood. Delivery is within Metro Manila only.
