Power Mac Center is showcasing the beauty of Metro Manila through photos taken using citizens’ iPhones. The premium Apple products reseller has started featuring such citizen shots on its social media accounts. It is also running a photo exhibit starting today, February 16 until February 22 (Thursday) at Level 1 of SM Mall of Asia Main Mall in Pasay City.

This activity, which is first of a series of upcoming iPhone photography programs for 2018, is part of Power Mac Center’s adoption of the iPhone maker’s global marketing campaign dubbed as #ShotoniPhone, which in turn is aimed at showing off the power of iPhone as a perfect mobile photography tool as well as the diversity and creativity of the smartphone’s users.

#ThisIsManila local campaign
In January, Power Mac Center invited iPhone users within and around the metro to take interesting photos of any sight in their vicinity. The goal was primarily to put the spotlight to the allure of Metro Manila as seen through fresh and creative perspectives using the iPhone.

Participants were asked to upload and post their shots on Instagram, tagging the company’s account (@powermaccenter) and using the required hashtags #ShotoniPhone and #ThisIsManila.

Showcasing Manila’s beauty
“We want to show that there’s beauty and art in the simplicity or chaos of Manila,” said Power Mac Center Marketing Director Joey Alvarez. “We want users to capture these images using their iPhone and share them with the world in the hope of preserving moments that could have easily faded away. Who knows what extraordinary things we can discover in the process.”

Power Mac Center is also hoping that #ThisIsManila will help propel Manila into Apple’s global #ShotoniPhone worldwide campaign. This initiative is powered locally by the reseller’s partners—Polaroid, OtterBox, Anker, UAG, Pictar, DJI, and Leef.
