Pru Life UK is marking another milestone in its corporate history of good governance based on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS). The life insurer has received four Golden Arrows from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
“In a step-up from the three Golden Arrows we were presented in 2018, we are very honored to receive these four prestigious awards,” said Pru Life UK President and CEO Antonio De Rosas. “These distinctions serve as testimony to our unwavering effort and deep commitment to tirelessly keep elevating and strengthening our standards for all our stakeholders as we endeavor to help Filipinos get the most out of their lives.”
The ICD is implementing the ACGS to raise the standards and practices on corporate governance and at the same time showcase well-governed publicly listed firms in the region. The assessment is based on available information and benchmarked against global best practices. This is to encourage publicly listed firms to go beyond local regulatory requirements.
The ACGS has been adopted by the local insurance industry to boost its competitiveness, improve public perception, and increase the penetration rate.
For the fourth consecutive year, Pru Life UK has ranked first among regulated companies in the country by the Insurance Commission. This is based on overall governance scores by the ICD.
