Reader’s Digest is set to once again recognize the most trusted brands in the Philippines. The syndicated general-interest family magazine will present the list of the local Trusted Brands awardees for 2019 in a ceremony scheduled on April 2, 2019 (Tuesday) at the Marco Polo Ortigas in Pasig City.
The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands is based on results of a commissioned poll conducted by market research firm Catalyst Research. In the past years, up to 4,000 respondents from across the country participated—half of which were Reader’s Digest subscribers and the rest were randomly picked general consumers representing targeted demographics of the population.
Respondents in the survey were asked to identify the brands they trust the most and rate those based on particular attributes—trustworthiness, credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation, and social responsibility.
In 2018, over a hundred brands across nine categories were included in the list. Those were dominated by firms from industries like consumer electronics, finance, food and beverage, health and personal care, household products, motoring, personal products, services, and telecommunications.
For personalities, the most trusted news anchor for several years, Jessica Soho, was elevated to become the first ever Hall of Fame Awardee as the Most Trusted News Presenter.
“Over the years, the Trusted Brands survey has served as a significant benchmark in various industries, with its capability to identify which brands and services, as well as personalities, consumers trust the most,” said Reader’s Digest Asia-Pacific Retail and Advertising Sales Director Sheron White.
