Paving the way for the observation of the National Nutrition Month in July, Robinsons Supermarket has rolled out its annual Wellness Festival. The giant supermarket chain is re-affirming its commitment to promoting health and wellness among Filipino consumers.
The Wellness Festival 2018 kicked off with a big launch on Friday (June 22) at the Ayala Malls Cloverleaf in Balintawak, Quezon City. The event brought together nutrition, fitness, and music to further encourage mall shoppers to get up, move, and choose healthy product options.
The highlight of the launch was a Metabeats session by celebrity fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret, the duo who also founded the Fit-Fil Movement, which in turn aims to promote a healthier lifestyle through challenging people to lose some pounds. The couple facilitated five sets of their popular 4-minute simple workouts that are regularly featured in their own TV show aired over the Metro channel.

On Saturday (June 23), several amateur bands will take the stage to engage the public further, still with the aim of promoting a healthier lifestyle.
“Wellness is not just about nutrition and exercising; it is also about the little things, the little changes we do on our daily lives,” said Robinsons Supermarket Marketing Manager Angela Totanes. “The Wellness Festival is a journey that will continue for many years to come. And we celebrate wellness all year long, not just for the month of July.”
Robinsons Supermarket was among the pioneers in promoting health and wellness in the consumer goods and retail industries. In 2015, it launched a section in its supermarket that is exclusive to healthy products—in collaboration with the Food Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). In 2016, it rolled out its Healthy You labeled brand, which also comprises of health-promoting goods.
This year, Robinsons Supermarket will continue its tradition of giving enticing deals and offers to help promote healthy choices. For the whole month of July, its customers can get a free Coffee Press with a Healthy You Premium Ground Barako Coffee for every P3,000 single-receipt purchase, inclusive of P500 worth of participating products from partners Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Wyeth Nutrition, Abbott Nutrition, Fonterra, Unilab, and other sponsors.
Healthy shopping will be made even more rewarding as consumers qualify to get an additional 15 Robinsons Rewards Card points for every P500 purchase of Healthy You. Plus, the supermarket is also organizing a fun run on July 8 (details will be posted soon).
