SM Appliance Center is seriously taking its commitment to facilitate same-day delivery service to its customers. The biggest appliance store chain in the Philippines has recently renewed its partnership with Mober, the first on-demand logistics platform in the country.
“We’ve seen customer satisfaction rise ever since we made Mober’s same-day delivery service available for our clients,” said SM Appliance Center Vice President for Operations Chito Mendoza. “From our experience, it’s been especially helpful for busy professionals and young families.”
The two companies first launched the same-day delivery service to customers in December 2016. To date, it is estimated that seven out of 10 SM Appliance customers avail the same-day delivery service by Mober. Prior to this arrangement, customers had to wait for 36 to 72 hours for their purchased appliances to be delivered to their homes. Through the partnership with Mober, that waiting time has been significantly lowered to just less than 24 hours. The delivery time frame of the items can even be specified.
Mober’s on-demand logistics service is already available in up to 41 SM Appliance locations in the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Cebu. Mober is also lowering the costs of same-day delivery services for SM Appliance customers.
The service also costs less than usual. The delivery fee within the five-kilometer radius from the SM Appliance location now starts at P450. Locations within the 10-kilometer radius require a fee of at least at P650. The delivery address within Metro Manila but still within the 10-kilometer radius is at P750.
Mober was founded in 2015 by its CEO Dennis Ng as the first-ever on-demand logistics platform in the country. To date, it is now the leader of on-demand same-day deliveries especially for high-value and special care delivery items—including appliances, restaurant items, and furniture.
