Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has recently launched its latest innovation—the new GigaLife App. It allows its subscribers to manage their subscription service more effectively. The app is noted for being a simple, easy, and smart way to managing digital activities, including account and balance details inquiry, registrations to promos and add-ons, account reloading, viewing of bill statements, bills payment, and reward points redemptions.
GigaLife App can now be downloaded for free via the App Store (for iOS device users) and Google Play (for Android device users). It is initially available for Smart Prepaid and TNT customers. The company intends to extend its availability soon to Smart postpaid customers.
The launch of the new app served as the highlight of the Smart’s GigaFest, a month-long celebration for subscribers that showcased world-class entertainment, digital innovations, promos, e-sports tournaments, and giving away of lots of freebies.
Month-long GigaFest
Smart kicked off the month-long GigaFest on September 19 as a way to give back to its subscribers. It followed two massive ad campaigns of the brand—‘Simple, Smart Ako’ campaign ads featuring South Korean superstars Hyun Bin in June and Son Ye Jin in August. Both celebrities are known as lead stars of the hit Korean series ‘Crash Landing on You.’
“Our campaigns did not only help the business but also lifted our subscribers’ spirits—and that to me is priceless,” said Smart President and CEO and PLDT Chief Revenue Officer Alfredo S. Panlilio. “As we continue to reignite the passion points of our subscribers, we fuel the growth of our business.”
Panlilio revealed that more subscribers signed up with the telecom network in the past 12 months. Thus, he reiterated the company’s commitment to continue innovating to improve customer service. “As our current speed cores show, we are already better than the country average and the competition. That said, we will continue investing in our network and benchmark ourselves with countries like Thailand and Vietnam to be even better. I think every Filipino deserves that level of service,” he said.
Other exciting activities
During the GigaFest, Smart also rolled out other exciting activities like the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Festival, the GigaFest Virtual Concert, the first-ever online run of the Korean Film Festival (in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines), the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League—Philippine Season 6, and the all-female e-sports league Liga Adarna: Laban Para sa Korona.
Smart also launched a program to enable its subscribers to watch the NBA Playoffs live on NBA.Smart, a portal that is available exclusively to Smart Signature users and to Smart Prepaid users who are registered to the Giga video service.
