Sun Life PH highlights real-life client-advisor partnerships in new campaign

“The relationship between Sun Life clients and their advisors is special because it’s one that is built on trust over time and shines brightest during life’s significant moments.” This was the defining statement of Sun Life Chief Marketing and Client Experience Officer Gilbert Simpao during the recent launch of the giant insurer’s latest campaign.

Sun Life Philippines has formally rolled out ‘Part of Your Life. Partner for Life.’ This new campaign puts the spotlight on the heartwarming and inspiring real-life stories of the company’s financial advisors and their valued clients.

Two touching stories were initially showcased during the launch, along with the videos that have started being uploaded online and across social media.


Partner for health

The first story was about advisor Buena Elizondo-David and client Alpha Trajeco, a cancer patient/survivor. Buena shared that it was her foresight that she advised her client to obtain critical illness coverage to her policy, a proposal that Alpha agreed on that eventually proved to be the right decision.

“If not for Buena, I wouldn’t even be here today,” Alpha said. “She truly is a part of my life.” It was during the duration of her cancer treatment that she fully realized the advantage of her decision to get herself insured.

“Being an advisor is not just on the surface. When I talk to clients and guide them in securing insurance or an investment, I put their needs first,” Buena said.

Partner for starting up a business

Katherine ‘Kay’ Barcena considers her Sun Life policy as a lifesaver. Her advisor Kristine Leechiu-Tan helped her make a partial withdrawal from her insurance to make ends meet after a job loss during the pandemic and to have a starting capital for her startup business (arts and crafts).

“It is during these times that their insurance and investment plans really become a lifesaver to these families,” Kristine said.

Kay has been very thankful for the sound advice that helped her make the right financial decisions. Now, she wishes more people to enjoy the same especially those who are pursuing financial goals. “Just like me, I hope everyone finds a partner for life,” she said.

Sun Life Philippines is set to complement these inspiring stories with several other activations under the new campaign. These activities include webinars helmed by top financial speakers like coach Chinkee Tan, virtual events with the insurer’s brand ambassadors, and an interactive online escape game room called ‘Escape to the Future.’

“We hope this campaign will encourage more Filipinos to find that partner who will help them achieve their financial goals throughout their lifetime,” Simpao added. “Sun Life and its financial advisors are always here to help.”
