Recreational parks announce operation hours for ASEAN Summit week

The very long weekend declared over Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Pampanga automatically rolls out a perfect opportunity to take some time off for quality time with kids and the whole family.

Theme parks in the metro and in nearby provinces have announced special operating schedules to accommodate more guests, to adjust to road closure plans of the government, and to make this rare long weekend more memorable and fun for everyone.

 

Star City


Due to the security lockdown of the entire CCP Complex for the ASEAN Summit, Star City will temporarily shut down from Sunday (November 12) to Tuesday (November 14). It will resume park operations on Wednesday (November 15), 4 p.m.

 

Enchanted Kingdom


The Sta. Rosa, Laguna-based theme park is usually closed during Mondays and Tuesdays. However, for this long ASEAN weekend, its management has announced a special operating schedule on Tuesday (November 14) from 12 noon to 7 p.m. On other days, it still operates from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Manila Ocean Park


Despite the temporary lockdown of the nearby CCP Complex and Roxas Boulevard during the ASEAN Summit weekend, Manila Ocean Park will continue operations from Monday to Wednesday (November 13 to 15). However, it has announced a special operations schedule—from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Ocean Adventure Subic Bay


ASEAN Summit will not affect normal operations of Ocean Adventure Subic Bay. The gates open at 9 a.m., while the first cycle of shows starts at 10:15 a.m. and the second set at 2:15 p.m. As usual, the theme park will close at 6 p.m.

 

Avilon Zoo


The zoo in Rodriguez, Rizal opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Avilon Zoo in Frontera Verde in Pasig City will operate as usual from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Sky Ranch


SM Group-operated Sky Ranch in Pampanga has announced a special park schedule from Monday to Wednesday (November 13 to 15). During those days, the theme park will operate from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Meanwhile, Sky Ranch in Tagaytay will have normal operation hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on those days.

 

KidZania Manila


Indoor play city Kidzania Manila will operate as usual this ASEAN weekend. On Sunday (November 12), gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. On Monday to Wednesday (November 13 to 15), it will open at 9 a.m. and close 4 p.m. KidZania Manila also announced an ASEAN Week Special wherein adult companion/s of kids will enjoy a 50% discount on admission tickets (limited to two adult tickets per group).

 

The Mind Museum


Business as usual this week at The Mind Museum. It opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. except Monday, when it normally takes its off time.

 

Art In Island


The interactive art museum located at 15th Avenue, Cubao Quezon City (within Araneta Center) will be open during the entire ASEAN week. It will take its regular operating hours from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Ticket booth will accommodate customers until 8 p.m. each day.
