Cebu Pacific and its cargo unit Cebgo have released several reminders for passengers as air travel starts to pick up after almost two years of slug due to heightened protocols amid the pandemic.
The country’s top carrier is reminding all passengers to allocate enough time to give way for security inspection, check-in, bag drop, and other pre-departure requirements. Passengers are encouraged to be at the designated airport at least 3 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 4 hours for international flights, especially during the peak travel period.
The company also reminds everyJuan that to fly easy, going online is still key. This also makes booking flights easier and safer. Here are more reminders for a contactless flight:
1. Ensure your travel requirements are complete before going to the airport. Always check the documents required in your destination. Cebu Pacific’s website has updated information for your guidance.
2. Check-in online, whether through the Cebu Pacific website or mobile app. Online check-in is available 7 days up to 1hour prior to your scheduled flight for domestic flights and up to 4 hours before departure time for international flights. Passengers going to Manila, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Bohol, and Zamboanga are advised to self-tag luggage before proceeding to counters for bag drop.
3. Bring a single hand-carry item on board. It must not exceed 7 kilograms in weight and with a dimension of up to 56cm X 36cm X 23 cm. This also applies to most wheeled cabin bags and backpacks that fit in the overhead bins. Passengers traveling with an infant are allowed an additional carry bag containing baby food and necessities aside from the allowed hand-carry baggage. Assistive or medical items (foldable walkers and walking canes along with items purchased inside the airport (airside) are on top of the hand-carry baggage allowance per passenger. Book additional baggage allowance if needed through the Manage Booking section of the Cebu Pacific website.
4. Wear face masks all the time. Face shields are now optional.
5. Input your own contact details on booking. Update your contact details on bookings to make sure pre-flight reminders, flight changes, and the like are received in a timely manner.
Remember that all check-in counters close an hour prior to the scheduled flight for ample time for other important pre-flight procedures. Boarding commences 45 minutes before flight departure.
