Look: Globe and PAL surprise arriving OFWs and tourists at airport

A heart-warming surprise greeted passengers of Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR 659 when they arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on Thursday (December 7) morning.

Representatives from Globe Telecom’s International Business Group (Globe IBG), PAL, and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) personally welcomed arriving Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and tourists alike with warm messages as soon as the passengers disembarked from the plane.

Another surprise came when they picked up their luggage at the airport’s baggage carousel, which were filled with bags of treats instead. The newly arrived passengers picked up the treats while a lively Filipino Christmas tune played over the background to complete the festive Yuletide atmosphere that surrounded the arrival hall. At the same time, Santa Clause gave away toys from his huge sack to kids.

NAIA 2’s baggage carousel was filled with surprise treats for passengers of PAL flight PR 659 from Dubai.

“Christmas is something that Filipinos love to celebrate together with their family and friends, thus, homecomings during this season becomes more meaningful,” said Globe IBG Senior Advisor Mike Frausing. “We at Globe, in collaboration with PAL and MIAA, wanted this occasion to be very special to returning Filipinos and to tourists alike to make them happier and for them to appreciate why Pasko is truly more fun in the Philippines.”

This activity is line with the first year anniversary of the partnership between Globe and PAL. The two companies have formed an alliance to provide better service to more Filipinos here and abroad through their common advocacy to delight incoming tourists and balikbayans by providing them wonderful experiences whenever they arrive at the local airport.
