Design
OPPO A76 comes at the right size, not too bulky and not too small. The 3D slim body appears chic—about 164mm in length, about 75.7mm in width, and around 8.4mm in thickness. The weight is fine at about 189 grams, making it comfortable to hold and easy to carry around for users who are always on the go.
It is a smartphone that could easily serve as a perfect fashion accessory for today’s stylish generation. It carries the unique OPPO Glow Design coming from the Reno Glow diamond-cutting technique. The matte texture of the body’s back is ideal as it is smooth enough, resistant to smudges, fingerprints, scratches, and even dust/dirt. We tried a unit in Glowing Blue, which is distinct compared to all other smartphones in its category (there is also the Glowing Black color, which is equally captivating to the eyes).
For its price tag, anyone can easily conclude it is decent. It has a 6.56-inch screen (89.9% screen-to-body ratio) with 90Hz refresh rate and 720 X 1612 HD display resolution that gives an all-day AI eye comfort. The LCD display is comparable with other more expensive devices and renders great viewing experiences for video-viewing and even for gaming. The built-in speaker is just fine.
Performance
The hardware is just as decent as its aesthetic exterior. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G Mobile Platform which makes it efficient and basically powerful at the same time. The memory is vast enough at 6GB + 128GB and can be expanded using microSD storage possibly reaching 1TB. Its RAM is ideal for multitasking and various app functionalities.
Optimized imaging is ensured, thanks to OPPO A76’s dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP main camera (capable of 6x digital zoom) with 2MP bokeh camera. The front-facing camera located at the top left portion of the screen is never obscure at 8MP, which is enough to take beautiful selfies any time of the day.
OPPO A76 is perfect for taking outdoor photos as it renders colors that are true-to-life. It never misses out on indoor photography as well, though at times incurring some limitations especially in surroundings with awkward lighting conditions. The bokeh does it perfectly when you need to intentionally blur the background to give emphasis on the subject and this is how it easily stands out from the rest in the mid-range category of smartphones. The front camera, on the other hand, can bring ultra-clear selfies.

Reliable battery
OPPO A76 is packed with 5,000mAh battery that is among the biggest-sized in the market. It is huge enough to keep up and meet users’ needs. A fully-charged battery can last the whole day of activities. But if you need to quickly charge, it can facilitate such, as it is super-fast charging. A 5-minute charging can allow usage for almost 4 hours of calls, video calls for 62 minutes, and YouTube viewing for over 2 hours. Needless to say, the 33W SuperVOOC super-fast charging is just impressive.
If you have the fear of draining your battery, the device offers Super Power Saving Mode, which can be enabled once it prompts to 10% battery level—still nothing to worry about as you can enjoy using up to 6 apps while in this emergency mode. Moreover, at just 5% battery level, you can still use WhatsApp or any equivalent app for up to 80 minutes or make a call that can last up to 109 minutes.
The battery is also smart. The Super Nighttime Standby mode is AI-enabled to detect your sleep habits so that power usage can be regulated while idle. This way, the battery can only drop by just 2% at night. Optimized Night Charging automatically pauses charging when the battery level reaches 80% while you are charging at night (during your sleeping hours) then resumes an hour before your usual waking up time.
