As more Filipinos aim to get back into shape at the onset of new year and after the most festive season in the country, a rising number of Spotify users in the country are turning to music as a tool to help them attain their fitness goals.
Historically, streaming of workout playlists increases after January 1, then reaches peak around January 24 and levels off by February 14, based on listening data recently disclosed by Spotify. Globally, there are now over 25 million workout playlists that were generated by users of the music streaming app from all across the globe.
In the Philippines, here are three of the most popular workout playlists streamed by the app’s users: Fantastic K-Pop Workout, Motivation Mix, and Beast Mode. More interestingly, here are the top 10 most popular workout songs streamed by local users:

Globally, the most streamed workout song so far this year is Eminem’s ‘Till I Collapse,’ which was also the most streamed workout song this time of the year in 2016.
Meanwhile, if you intend to explore and try a new workout playlist at Spotify, among the most popular you could consider are Aqua cycling playlists (streamed 86% higher than in the past year) and the brew yoga (streamed 137% more this year).
