DJI, the global leader in civilian drones and innovative camera technology, on June 29 officially launched the long-awaited Osmo Pocket 4P, raising the bar in a category it pioneered with the original Osmo gimbal camera in 2015.
Through focused innovation, the product line evolved to become the first Osmo Pocket in 2018, ushering in the era of the pocket camera. DJI continues this evolution with the Osmo Pocket 4P’s innovative dual-lens pocket gimbal camera. It features a new 1-inch CMOS sensor with 17 stops of dynamic range1, along with a 60 mm lens with an f/1.8 aperture for stunning, natural portraits.
DJI is also introducing the new 10-bit D-Log 21 color profile, capable of capturing over a billion colors to render scenes with stunning fidelity in light and shadow. To complement its cutting-edge technology, the Osmo Pocket 4P comes in two stunning color options: classic black with a simple yet powerful feel, and pearl white with a fresh and striking aesthetic.
Two lenses for cinematic versatility, up close or far
Osmo Pocket 4P features a dual-lens system that makes it easy to create cinematic visual effects—from wide-angle cityscapes to delicate portraits. The main wide-angle lens is equipped with a new 1-inch CMOS (20mm format equivalent and f/2.0 aperture). Powered by cutting-edge LOFIC technology, it delivers an unprecedented 17 stops of dynamic range1 and supports video up to 4K/240 fps1.
Typically found only in high-end cinema cameras, these professional filmmaking capabilities easily handle high-contrast scenes such as nighttime cityscapes, sunsets, and backlit portraits. Meanwhile, the new high-resolution 60 mm med-tele lens with a large aperture delivers a classic focal length for striking portraits. It supports 3× optical zoom and up to 12× zoom1. The f/1.8 large aperture (with an equivalent depth of field of f/6.3) strongly compresses the background, bringing it closer to the subject for a blurred effect. When combined with camera movement, this creates dramatic, cinematic visuals.
Higher levels of imaging, new creative inspirations
For high-speed action, the Osmo Pocket 4P can capture up to 8x ultra-HD slow motion1 footage at 4K/240 fps, providing a time-lapse effect for dynamic moments like spinning subjects, flowing hair, or falling snow in stunning detail. Alternatively, Slow Shutter Video can be used to trace flowing light, creating motion blur or capturing traces of movement and the passage of time for a truly unique visual narrative.
The inclusion of a new 10-bit D-Log 21 color profile, paired with 17 stops of dynamic range1, preserves unparalleled detail in highlights and shadows—on par with premium cinema cameras. With 10-bit color depth capturing over a billion colors, the smoothness of tone transitions remains exceptional, providing maximum capabilities for color grading in post-production.
Intelligent shooting, unwavering stability
The Osmo Pocket 4P builds on DJI’s renowned heritage in professional cinematography, including the historic Ronin stabilization system–recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy. Inside an ultra-compact 230 g body, its advanced 3-axis mechanical gimbal ensures footage remains incredibly smooth and stable. The upgraded ActiveTrack 8.01 keeps subjects–whether people, vehicles, pets, or dynamically shaped objects–firmly in the center of the frame, even at 12x Zoom. It intelligently prioritizes a registered subject or centers multiple subjects at any focal length with auto framing.
Capture whenever you want, share on the go
Building on the improved user experience introduced in the standard version, the Osmo Pocket 4P features a number of intuitive features designed to make the creative process easier, including:
- Instant Recording: Rotate the touchscreen to turn on and start recording immediately.
- Gesture Control: Show an open palm to trigger ActiveTrack or show a “V” sign to start recording.
- 4K Live Photo1: Capture memories in motion by automatically recording a 1.5-second clip for each photo in 4K detail.
- 37MP High Resolution Photos: Capture up to 37MP photos with crystal-clear detail and can be reframed in post-production.
- 800 MB/s Ultra-Fast Transfers1: USB 3.1 support enables wired transfer speeds of up to 800 MB/s1 for near-instant exports and more efficient workflows.
- Extended Runtime and Fast Charging: Recharge from 0 to 80% in just 18 minutes1 for up to three hours of shooting. When fully charged, it provides an impressive runtime of up to 210 minutes1.

The Osmo Pocket 4P is compatible with a wide range of accessories from the Osmo ecosystem, expanding creative possibilities.
