Global market-making company Informa Markets is mounting Vitafoods Asia 2026, the region’s leading and biggest exhibition and summit specifically for ingredients, technologies, services, and innovations for the development and manufacturing of dietary supplements and health products. The three-day event opened on September 2 and will last until September 4 at Halls 1 to 3 and Halls 5 to 7 of the gigantic Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Hosting Vitafoods Asia in Thailand is like bringing the supply chain hub home,” said Manu Leopairote, Chairman of Informa Markets (Thailand). “It gives Thai businesses the opportunity to move from being buyers to becoming OEM/ODM (original equipment manufacturer/ original design manufacturer), connect directly with global suppliers and technology developers, and access innovations and upstream ingredients from around the world. It also creates a pathway for high-potential Thai extracts and herbs, including black ginger, turmeric, and gotu kola, to reach international markets.”

Vitafoods Asia 2026 is also reinforcing the country’s position as a top destination and source of health and nutrition products and ingredients for the regional dietary supplement supply chain across the region and worldwide. The annual trade show is also helping businesses (from Thailand and the ASEAN region) navigate international standards, regulations, and market opportunities while connecting the wider ecosystem, from manufacturing and R&D (research and development) to trade, logistics, wellness, and health tourism.
Leopairote noted that Thailand’s strength includes its strategic location, infrastructure, and strong appeal as a businesses and leisure destination, further enhancing its potential as a regional ‘bleisure destination.’ “Bangkok is an attractive meeting point for the global health and nutrition industry,” he said in his speech during the opening ceremony.
Reshaping the nutrition and supplement market
For Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director-ASEAN at Informa Markets, Vitafoods is benefiting from the ongoing rise of longevity and healthy ageing trends, which are establishing and setting the current role of dietary supplements at a time when most consumers are religiously incorporating health and nutrition into their daily lifestyles post the pandemic era.

“Preventive healthcare is no longer a concern reserved for older generations,” Chitanuwat said. “Younger consumers are also taking action earlier, creating demand for products that support long-term health and wellbeing.”
“Thai businesses need to stay ahead of rapidly evolving consumer expectations by closely tracking emerging trends and innovations. Vitafoods Asia 2026 provides a unique opportunity to bring global knowledge, technologies, ingredients, and business connections together under one roof,” she added.
The dietary supplements market in Thailand is forecast to grow from a $5.72 billion industry in 2024 to a $12.98 billion market in 2033, according to Gand View Research, a market research and consulting firm. The Asian dietary supplements market is expected to grow from $41 billion so far this year to $99.9 billion by 2036, based on research by Future Market Insights. These figures reflect on the overwhelming reception to Vitafoods Asia 2026 as of tis writing.
