Real estate online site Lamudi is holding the biggest showcase of affordable properties in the Philippines so far this weekend, July 15 and 16. The website has gathered numerous developers and sellers in a fair, which is the first exclusive event in the country to feature affordable homes.
Lamudi Group CEO Bhavna Suresh Chathambeth said the fair aims to be a venue where prospective and actual homebuyers can find the best options that fit their tight budget. “This slice of the market needs most attention not only from the government but from private players as well,” she said.
Lamudi Affordable Housing Fair is more than just a showcase of reasonably priced properties in the market. The two-day event also facilitates free seminars and talks to share more knowledge about property investment and purchase in a bullish market. Lamudi has teamed up with CNN Philippines in bringing the most knowledgeable and influential professionals in the industry to share insights for hassle-free real estate purchase.
The Social Security System (SSS) will host a discussion about foreclosed property investments on July 15, while PAG-IBIG Fund is set to conduct a seminar about home buying on July 16. More property gurus and industry experts are scheduled to hold talks throughout the duration of the activity.
Lamudi Affordable Housing Fair will hold an auction of foreclosed properties on its first day. Participants can also get to experience virtual reality home exhibits. Several housing companies are giving away discounts to homebuyers, while other sponsors are distributing freebies and raffling out special items.
The fair is being held at the Activity Center of Glorietta 3 in Makati City from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
