Acer Philippines and Microsoft Philippines recently launched a new member benefit to the Acer Academy program using the latest Microsoft Office Specialist Training Package. The partnership aims to further improve the country’s academic standards in terms of innovation and technology.
The new training package includes training for Word 2019, Excel 2019, and PowerPoint 2019. The initiative establishes the activation of Testing Centers for partner schools and the deployment of a Master Trainer and an Associate Trainer to cover the entire training flow.
“This is a three-pronged solution for our partner schools and their students,” said Acer Philippines Senior Sales Manager-Commercial Carren Garcia. “First, it aims to create an in-depth learning Microsoft space for school; second is to increase their graduates’ employability; and lastly, for the team to generate additional revenue through certification fees.”
Acer has a dedicated Education Team in the Acer Academy program that closely works with schools and academic units to develop real and innovative IT solutions that accelerate the learning process and set new benchmarks in educational standards.
“We continue to innovate the program by adding more benefits to our partners as we remain committed to equipping educational institutions with the knowledge and tools for them to adapt to the demands of digital learning space,” said Acer Philippines General Manager Sue Ong-Lim. “This is for the benefit of their students and the generations to come.”
The Acer Academy program was launched in 2013 to help local schools deliver the right response to digital transformation by promoting a digital classroom framework that makes use of Acer’s suite of products and services. It is open to all Philippine private and public schools, colleges, and universities. The program currently has more than 188 partners nationwide.
