A new four-tower development is embodying a new personality for the Queen City of the South—Cebu City. Property developer Federal Land Inc. is personifying the city by marrying Cebu’s classic culture of history and tradition with its chic urbanity through a new project called the Parkplace.
Within this year, the Parkplace will be launched to be the fifth tower in the development firm’s luxury condo township in Cebu City, the Marco Polo Residences, which currently has four towers atop the exclusive Nivel Hills district. Thus, the Parkplace will also be backed by the five-star Marco Polo Hotel brand.
“The residences parallel Cebu’s heritage through the Marco Polo brand, fusing Asian hospitality with Western innovations,” Federal Land General Manager Thomas Mirasol said.
Luxurious residence
Parkplace is architecturally and creatively designed to look like two connecting pearls. It will be unique in its visual fluidity and structural integrity. Thus, its residential units will be strategically arranged to take advantage of the property’s hilltop location, providing a visual sampler of Cebu by framing the panoramic view of the sea, the sky, and the city. There will be just 14 units per floor to give its future residents a sense of personal space while facilitating access to five-star hotel services for their utmost comfort.
Parkplace residents will easily access fitness facilities (Circuit Training, Yoga Studio, and Golf Simulation), recreational areas (Art Room, KTV Room, and Mini Theater), hotel amenities (outdoor swimming pools, play areas, co-working spaces, function halls, a spa pavilion, and a daycare center), and other facilities at the four existing towers.
“Federal Land is poised to continue developing Marco Polo Residences, precisely reflecting Cebu as it advances and evolves,” Mirasol added. The executive considers Parkplace as an expansion of the township, adding another dimension to the city’s persona and further fortifying its identity.
Lasting legacy
Cebu City has always been among the country’s top cities, retaining its position as among the preferred investment destinations outside of Luzon, based on the first quarter 2019 report by Colliers International.
Federal Land is one of the Philippines’ premier real estate developers. Through its recent collaboration with reputed global partners, the company has been able to bring world-class hospitality brands locally through its impressive portfolio of residential and commercial projects—including the iconic Grand Hyatt Manila, the architectural marvel called the GT Tower International in the Makati Central Business District, and the anticipated $400-million The Seasons Residences in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
