foodpanda launches pandaPatrol to further engage, assist delivery partners

foodpanda has launched another program to further connect with its Ka-panda delivery partners nationwide. The leading online food and grocery platform unveiled its pandaPatrol: Hub on Wheels in a casual gathering in Soundcheck in Pasig City on April 28, 2023.

pandaPatrol is a pink-colored coaster that brings and facilitates exciting games and activities targeting Ka-panda riders, bikers, e-scooters, and walkers all over the country. The Hub on Wheels will be making stops at select gas stations (Caltex, Unioil, and Jetti) by June and will be on tour nationwide until the end of the year.

“We wanted to bring the experience closer to our Ka-pandas by visiting them in their local provinces and cities,” said foodpanda Philippines Operations Director Patricia Jacinto during the launch. She emphasized that the endeavor is aimed at reinforcing the commitment to support and assist foodpanda delivery partners while driving engagement for Ka-pandas.

Aside from facilitating interactive and playful games for Ka-panda riders to enjoy, pandaPatrol coaster will also serve as a support hub where they can personally meet foodpanda representatives to raise concerns on the spot.

Excite, engage, reward

“Right then and there, we can hear them out and provide the appropriate solution to their queries—whether they are having technical issues with their accounts, need assistance on their delivery sessions, or simply want to provide feedback for process improvement,” Jacinto assured.

pandaPatrol aims to excite, engage, and reward Ka-panda riders. The coaster will also facilitate redemption of exclusive merchandise and items from their Bamboo points, the rewards program of foodpanda for its partner riders. Ka-panda riders can even earn more points by completing specific tasks (challenges) or successful deliveries.

On its roadshow, pandaPatrol will bring on-ground booths for foodpanda partners giving rider support and assistance. The goal is to further push several initiatives and services that are available for Ka-panda riders in the area. Moreover, the coaster will also accept interested applicants who want to be part of the growing Ka-panda community nationwide.

More support for Ka-pandas

The pandaPatrol launch came just a few days after the culmination of the Panda Legends annual online tournament for foodpanda riders. The Mobile Legends tourney brought together partner eiders from all across the country to a friendly competition, with amazing prizes at stake for the winning teams.

Foodpanda also recently entered into partnerships with more government agencies like Pag-IBIG Fund and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The goal is to help delivery partners get access to available social security programs and benefits from the government.

Furthermore, a new campaign matches every tip received by Ka-panda riders on the app as a sign of appreciation for riders’ hard work. During the campaign period, Ka-panda riders earned twice the amount of tips they received from customers—100% fully credited to their accounts.

“Whether it’s for support and assistance on their livelihood or fun and engaging activities, we are here to make their lives better,” Jacinto said, emphasizing that pandaPatrol will spread cheer and support as the company continues to make a difference in the lives of Ka-pandas.

“Creating a positive and engaging environment for our hardworking Ka-pandas is always a top priority because we believe that it’s not just about delivering food but also about providing happiness and support for them, she concluded.
