As graduation season nears, FWD Life Insurance and JA Philippines are empowering future professionals with critical financial skills and insurance literacy through JA Forward Your Success 2025. The two-day program equipped 100 university graduating students with practical tools and confidence to navigate life beyond college.
The seminar focused on three essential pillars: financial literacy, career preparation, and life after college. It brought together experts from various industries, including FWD Life Insurance, for talks and hands-on workshops, all to help participants build financial confidence and long-term stability.
“Financial literacy is one of the most empowering life skills young people can have,” said Gavin Lai, FWD Chief Marketing and Digital Commerce Officer. “This gives you the tools to take control of your life, to turn challenges into opportunities, and to move forward with confidence.”

Over the course of two days, the students went through a learning experience designed to sharpen their real-world readiness and success-oriented mindset. The modules blended financial literacy with personal development exercises, encouraging them to transform uncertainty about the future into empowerment.
The first day centered on self-discovery and goal setting, guiding students to identify their strengths, to set achievable and aligned goals, and to develop a personal action plan to navigate life post-graduation.
The second day shifted the focus to financial growth, with modules that taught students how to transform financial stability into active wealth creation and protection. Participants learned how to create their own financial ecosystem by layering income streams, protecting the fruits of their hustle through financial instruments such as insurance, and understanding the importance of futureproofing against uncertainties. This emphasis on insurance literacy helped students appreciate how insurance safeguards their financial goals and provides security in times of unexpected challenges.
JA Forward Your Success 2025 builds on FWD Life Insurance’s long-standing partnership with JA Philippines, which began in 2021 through the JA SparktheDream program, a regional initiative to teach young students essential money management skills.
What started as a classroom-based project helping children understand the value of financial responsibility has since evolved into a broader mission to equip out-of-school youth through the JA It’s My Dream program, and now, extending to young Filipinos to help equip them for the realities of modern adulthood—financially, professionally, and personally–through JA Forward Your Success.
By bridging classroom knowledge with real-world readiness, FWD aims to help students start their post-graduate journeys with confidence and clarity, allowing them to build their best futures.
