All-in-one business growth solutions platform HighLevel has successfully staged a sold-out event in the Philippines. Dubbed as ‘HighLevel LIVE Manila,’ the two-day conference was the Dallas, Texas-based AI (artificial intelligence)-powered business tool provider’s second sold-out international stop this year, following the one held in New Delhi, India.
HighLevel LIVE Manila is part of the global company’s deliberate initiatives to reach out to the communities building on the platform. HighLevel simplifies its mission—to make AI a tool every business owner can readily and easily use. It aims to serve not just enterprises with the budget or technical personnel to build it on their own, but even the smaller players that need to use AI more for marketing, sales lead generation, and even operations.
The two-day Manila conference featured nine speakers who shared insights and motivations about various aspects of businesses that can benefit from AI. Those included educational and digital marketing expert Billy Gene, who talked about automating a business; marketing automation and book author Chris Dillon, who shared ideas on how WhatsApp can help businesses; product marketing executive Chase Buckner, who demonstrated HighLevel AI; experienced management consultant Declan O-Reilly, who spoke about building a self-scaling affiliate system; and business development guru Mike Reimer, who gave a briefing about building an AI agency revenue system.
HighLevel’s co-founders Shaun Clark, Varun Vairavan, and Robin Alex also gave keynote speeches and lead panels and a live question-and-answer session covering AI-powered automation, voice, and conversation AI as well as practical strategies that successful business owners are using to scale up their operations and revenues using tools designed to work for multi-scale enterprises.

During a sit-down session with the press, including Tech and Lifestyle Journal, HighLevel co-founders reiterated the “tremendous opportunities” that businesses can seize through using AI. “Through AI, they can go out and serve any community they would like to serve, be it local or global, in any certain industry, in different languages, and in any modality,” said HighLevel CEO Shaun Clark. “Our attendees can create real businesses that are scalable, profitable, and allowing them to serve people they want to serve at great lengths.”
HighLevel Chief Technology Officer Varun Vairavan affirmed that a lot of people are already using AI in the Philippines. “More Filipinos should be participating and taking advantage of the AI technology,” he said. Vairavan even emphasized that the Manila leg of the global conference is intentional, not incidental, reflecting confidence that the country could host the next wave of small-business growth trend through AI.
“HighLevel Manila is a celebration for business owners. Being here, we want our community to see and feel that we are here and we support them,” said Chief Operating Officer Robin Alex. He noted that the sold-out, two-day event gathered up to 1,500 participants coming from various cities and industries across the country.
Debunking common AI notion
The HighLevel co-founders also debunked some of the common notions about the rise of AI. Tech and Lifestyle Journal asked about some people’s fear that AI could eliminate jobs as the technology can perform tasks that real humans do for a living.
“It is the opposite. I think AI would create more jobs. There are businesses that are looking at increasing their budget for AI. This opens opportunity for people to make use of their AI skills. On the other hand, businesses could do more, not less. AI helps them do more things productively,” said Clark.
Vairavan emphasized that AI could create more jobs, through new positions using the skill to use the technology. “AI still needs people who are skilled to use it and create work for other people,” he said adding that AI can’t code into itself.
