The world’s No. 1 whiskey brand, Jack Daniels, welcomed Yuletide 2018 in the country with the lighting of its very own Holiday Barrel Tree, which of course stands out among all other Christmas trees in the season. It will stand throughout the holidays at C1 Park, 5th Avenue, High Street Central Square in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City.
The Holiday Barrel Tree 2018 can now be viewed within the business and commercial district of BGC, where family and friends can gather around and enjoy its welcoming, festive vibe.
Jack Daniels is continuing its long-standing tradition of putting up a Holiday Barrel Tree (made of oak barrels) in major cosmopolitan centers across the world. Locally, a total of 122 barrels were repurposed into this special holiday structure bearing a message that speaks to the brand’s mantra: “It’s not what’s under the tree that matters; it’s who’s around it.”
In the Philippines, this highly anticipated global tradition debuted in 2014, when two Holiday Barrel Trees were simultaneously raised in two sites—in Fuerte Circle in Eastwood City and at The Fort Plaza in BGC. Those structures were the first Holiday Barrel Trees in Southeast Asia, a feat that recognizes Jack Daniel’s growing presence in the Philippines.
The iconic Holiday Barrel Tree’s symbolic lighting was done with a bang, as it also coincided with the launch of Jack Daniel’s Bar No. 7—the popular liquor brand’s first ever pop-up bar in Metro Manila. The new watering hole (standing beside the Holiday Barrel Tree) serves gourmet holiday drinks especially created by Curator’s senior bartender and mixologist, Giann Divino.
