The growing community of Legends of Runeterra players in the Philippines can now purchase coins on Codashop, an online site dedicated to topping up online games every month. Today Coda Payments and Riot Games (the developer of League of Legends) are now facilitating game coin transactions through Coda in seven other Southeast Asia markets, aside from the Philippines.
“Our mission at Coda is to make world-class content accessible to everyone,” said Coda Chief Executive Officer Philippe Limes. “With this partnership, we are delighted to make it simple for millions of players to participate in the League of Legends universe.”
Initial users of the service have been raving about how fast and convenient the transaction is. The coins will appear in the game as soon as the purchase payment is made. There is no more need to log into Codashop to input any voucher or PIN code, which makes it unique when compared to other coin purchasing facilities.
Gamers also not that Codashop accepts a wide range of popular local payment methods including GCash, GrabPay, Globe, and Smart. Coda will also offer payment solutions for Rio Games’ upcoming games, including Teamfight Tactics Mobile, Valorant, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics Mobile.
“Here in Southeast Asia, we recognize that gameplay and payment preferences are extremely diverse,” said Riot Games Southeast Asia General Manager Justin Hulog. “Our partnership with Coda will allow gamers to access and enjoy all our upcoming new games with comfort and ease.”
