Lenovo is officially the top PC monitor brand in the Philippines. Based on a report released by the market intelligence company IDC, the global tech innovator dominated the segment in the third quarter of 2020 after posting 66,082 shipments—accounting for 22% of the country’s total PC monitor market in the period.
The strong performance in the quarter translated to Lenovo’s share in the local PC monitor market growing by 6% compared to the second quarter when it made 26,882 shipments. At the same time, the brand posted an 8% year-on-year growth—a highly successful year for Lenovo’s ever-expanding PC monitor portfolio.
“Our success in the PC monitor segment solidifies our drive for constant innovation in our products as we strive to deliver smarter technology for all,” said Lenovo Philippines President and General Manager Michael Ngan. “This time, we heavily focused on improving the ability of our PC monitors in extending the productivity of our customers in the comfort of their own homes by including cutting-edge technology known in Lenovo devices.”
Ngan also cited the many innovations the brand made to better serve customers in the new normal. “We made our screens bigger, more color accurate, portable, and in the case of gamers, come out with more resolution and high refresh rates for complete immersion. Our monitors also included added connectivity and viewing options to unlock new opportunities, whether for work, online school, entertainment, or gaming,” he said.
Lenovo currently has seven PC monitor lines targeting different types of users and segments:
– ThinkVision – employees
– ThinkVision M – mobile workforce
– Q Series – content creators
– Y/Legion Series – hardcore gamers
– G Series – mainstream gamers
– L Series – monitors for mainstream or everyday use
– D Series – value-for-money monitors
Some of the popular monitors from the brand are the ThinkVision S22e-19 (P5,550), ThinkVision E2054 (P4,490), and ThinkVision M14t (P19,995) portable monitor.
