The country’s first fully integrated health and wellness app, mWell, has collaborated with movie actors, entertainment industry icons, and fellow healthy lifestyle advocates Charo Santos-Concio and Dingdong Dantes through hosting a special block screening of the movie ‘Only We Know‘ at the Directors Club Cinema of The Podium on July 10.
Select members of the entertainment and lifestyle press gathered for special screening of the blockbuster movie, which first hit the local cinemas in June. Santos-Concio and Dantes personally attended the event and gave small talks about the importance of living healthy and how practical tools like the mWell app could help us monitor our health easily.
“We have to track our activities every day and live healthily. A healthy life means a happy life,” Santos-Concio said. Meanwhile, Dantes highlighted the significance of mWell app paired with the mWell smartwatch and mWell ring. “We should constantly keep track of our activities and health,” he said.
This special collaboration was an unexpected but memorable one, mWell Head of Commercial and Partnerships Gary Dujali revealed. During a short chat with the attendees prior to the film showing, Dujali recalled that they incidentally met Santos-Concio and Dantes during taping of an episode for ABS-CBN Studios’ Sunday musical variety program ‘ASAP‘ several weeks ago. The actors were promoting their movie, while the mWell team were there for the launch of the ‘I Am Well’ wellness anthem (sung by endorser Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, an ASAP mainstay).
The film ‘Only We Know‘ is a good fit with what mWell is advocating for—taking good care of one’s wellbeing through a healthy and happy lifestyle. The movie depicts the importance of going out, doing physical activities, and enjoying outdoor adventures.
mWell smartwatches and ring
New-generation mWell watches are packed with helpful features that facilitate real-time tracking of heart rate and blood oxygen level when performing workouts and other physical activities. Paired with the mWell app, the watches track daily mWellness Scores based on light activity, exercise, sedentary time, and step count, with the goal of helping lessen the risk of chronic diseases. These mWellness Wearables come in four variants: the Prodigy Watch (₱2,299), the Prestige Sport Watch (₱3,999), the Prestige Watch (₱2,999), and the Power Smart Watch (₱2,499), each focusing on the lifestyle and fashion preference of the user.
On the other hand, the mWell Ring monitors important health metrics like heart rate, heart rate variabiliuty, average oxygen saturation, and even blood pressure. Moreover, the ring could provide insights into the quality and quantity of the user’s sleep every night. The device is built with Titanium and is equipped with a 7-day full-charge battery life. The watch comes in black, silver, and bronze colors with a price tag of ₱8,999.
‘I Am Well‘ wellness anthem
mWell has also recently launched its official wellness anthem in collaboration with Velasquez-Alcasid and award-winning composer Jonathan Manalo. ‘I Am Well‘ emphasizes the importance of self-care and encourages us to prioritize health as an expression of love.
The anthem kicks off mWell’s new advocacy campaign, inviting Filipinos to embrace wellness not just as a goal, but as a way of life. In the music video, Velasquez is joined by mWell celebrity champions in delivering the message of hope, healing, and personal responsibility.
Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman of mWell and Chairman and CEO of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), highlights the larger mission behind the project. “Our purpose is to provide Filipinos with meaningful access to better health. ‘I Am Well’ speaks to that mission in the most basic language. Health shouldn’t be a privilege. Each Filipino deserves to have a stable foundation upon which they can build better lives.”
Chaye Cabal-Revilla, President and CEO of mWell and Chief Finance, Risk, and Sustainability Officer of MPIC, adds, “This anthem is a declaration that every Filipino is worthy of care. With ‘I Am Well,’ we hope to inspire a shift in mindset—one where taking care of yourself becomes an act of empowerment. Through music, storytelling, and technology, we’re walking with every Filipino on their journey to better health.”
The mWell platform
mWell’s digital platform brings this message to life through a complete ecosystem of healthcare and wellness services. While mWell offers teleconsultation services for immediate medical attention, it also champions long-term well-being through accessible digital tools. Users can consult with family doctors, specialists, and mind health experts 24/7, receive e-prescriptions, and have medicines delivered—all through a few taps on the app.
This advocacy marks a shift toward the importance of preventive health. To support this, mWell offers fitness and nutrition programs, the mWellness Score for tracking physical activity, and the Mind Health Score, a digital tool that helps users monitor emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. With mWellness Wearables—a line of affordable smartwatches and rings—users can also track sleep quality, heart rate, oxygen levels, and more in real time.
Beyond the music, mWell is rolling out community initiatives in partnership with local governments and grassroots organizations to promote holistic, preventive health. mWell continues to bring care closer to the families who need it most. Just recently, a medical mission was conducted in Talim Island, in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), where mWell provided doctor consultation and basic health services to over 300 residents.
With the nearest hospital a 30-minute boat ride away, the initiative offered much-needed care for the island’s remote community. In Sulu, mWell also partnered with DICT for the launch of “BangkaHealth.” Also referred to as “BangKalusugan,” the project enabled the mWell team and barangay health workers on small boats (bangka) to deliver house-to-house teleconsultations to residents of house-on-stilts in isolated coastal areas.
