OPPO PH integrates GCash scan-to-pay feature into select concept stores

OPPO is adopting another innovation to further improve its touch point with customers at its continuously evolving local concept stores. The second biggest international smartphone brand in the country has teamed up with GCash to become the first in its industry to integrate QR payment method into its Philippine stores.

By using the scan-to-pay feature in the GCash App, OPPO customers can now buy any product of the brand and facilitate quick, convenient, and secure payment through scanning GCash QR code. This is initially enabled at 30 OPPO Concept Stores.

“We are glad that OPPO is now part of GCash’s growing number of partners for its scan-to-pay payment option,” said OPPO Philippines Public Relations Manager Eason de Guzman. “With the growing digitalization of financial services in the Philippines, our customers will be able to experience innovation through our phones and our unique store experience.”

GCash makes digital payments possible through customers’ smartphones. The transactions are seamless and hassle-free minimizing risks of theft, keeping track of users’ expenses, and saving them from common long queues at payment counters.

“We are happy that OPPO shares our vision of cashless payments in the Philippines,” said GCash President and CEO Albert Tinio. “We look forward to nurturing this partnership and reaching out to more OPPO customers in the future.”
