Press Release
Sustainable energy sources and related technologies are once again taking the centerstage as the comprehensive energy trade event in the Philippines opens its gates from March 19 to 21. PhilEnergy Expo 2025 is gathering local and international leaders, brands, organizations, and businesses from the energy and related industries (local and international) for the annual exposition and convention focusing on the revitalized energy sectors.
The annual PhilEnergy, still anchored on its thrust for ‘Shaping the Philippines’ Energy Sector for a Sustainable Future,’ is an effective platform for highlighting the existing and potential collaborative efforts that propel “the clean energy revolution towards a sustainable and net-zero future.” This year, the three-day show aims to continue fostering the development of innovative renewable or clean energy solutions and related technologies that could shape the country’s energy industry, particularly the production utilization of electricity.
“PhilEnergy Expo 2025 is set to continue being the right platform that paves the way for showcasing the latest innovations and technologies as well as for discussing the most pressing and significant issues and development that define today’s evolving energy sector,” says Rungphech Rose Chitanuwat, Country General Manager of Informa Markets Philippines, the organizer of the yearly PhilEnergy Expo.
The energy trade event features five significant energy profiles—renewable energy (RE), energy efficiency (EE), electric and power (E&P), electric vehicle (EV), and energy storage (ES). Each field aligns with the sustainable, continuously evolving, and green initiatives that the local energy sector is prioritizing in conjunction with the global energy commitments and targets.
The event is also endorsed by the Department of Energy, and supported by numerous energy related organizations in the Philippines and outside the country including Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance Inc. (PE2), Society of Philippine Electrotechnical Constructors and Suppliers Inc.
(SPECS), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), Developers of Renewable Energy for AdvanceMent, Inc. (DREAM), Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE Philippines Section), Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, Inc. (PSME), Energy Industries Council (EIC), Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP), Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), Philippine Energy Research and Policy Institute (PERPI), Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST), Center for Empowerment, iNnovation, and Training on Renewable Energy (centRE), and Philippine Energy Professionals International Inc. (PEPII).
For sustainable and clean energy
The Philippines continues its firm stand to transition to a greater reliance on renewable energy. In accordance with the Philippine Energy Plan 2023 to 2050 of the Department of Energy (DOE), clean energy would account for 35% of the country’s energy generation mix by the year 2030 and for more than 50% by the year 2040.
At the same time, there are noteworthy and significant growth and development in related energy sectors. Energy Efficiency (EE) technologies and practices are continuously gaining support as public and private sectors work together to utilize energy more efficiently. Electric and Power (E&P) projects continue to abound with the aim to augment scarcity and distribution issues especially in the countryside.
Electric Vehicles (EVs) are swiftly gaining traction as more vehicle users shift to electricity-powered cars, which are energy-efficient, emission-free, and now practically priced, thanks to the government’s support through relevant legislations and policies. As the EV sector grows, so does the Energy Storage (ES) sector as the need for more efficient batteries (for various purposes) continues to rise.
What to expect at PhilEnergy Expo 2025
At the forefront of PhilEnergy this year are companies, brands, and organizations that are showcasing state-of-the-art and latest energy technologies and solutions. The expo facilitates business and partnership opportunities as exhibitors and attendees interact in the venue.
The three-day trade show is also highlighting industry convergence as energy professionals, innovators, and policymakers meet for dialogs, networking, sharing of knowledge, and exploration of potential collaborations. The focus on a sustainable future of the industry is also being underlined, while educational sessions are facilitated through panel discussions, workshops, informative talks and free seminars happening throughout the three-day event.
Among the much-anticipated seminar and educational session topics are the Circular Economy in the Green Energy Sector, Local Energy Planning, Decentralized Energy Systems (Off-Grid and Mini-Grid Solutions), Ph Energy Transformation, Power and Energy Security Agenda, Technology for Power Quality Sustainability, and more.
