DiskarTech is continuously expanding its unique features to further push for financial inclusion despite the interesting times. The super app of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has rolled out its loans marketplace in an effort to help more Filipinos access safe, convenient, and affordable financing.
As of this writing, DiskarTech is facilitating a virtual marketplace through the app—making it the first local fintech app to do so and making RCBC the first local bank to also offer such a convenient service. Currently, DiskarTech’s Loans feature facilitates finding of any of four types of loans from its financing partners—doctors’ loans, auto loans, motorcycle loans, and housing loans.
Under the Auto Loan, there are seven types of loans offered—car loan, truck loan, second-hand car loan, second-hand truck loan, PUV/taxi loan, multicab loan, and multicab refinancing. The Motorcycle Loan offers options for motorcycle and tricycle loans. Logically, most of these loans target consumers who are seeking financing for vehicles that can be used to generate income.
More and better loans options
During a recent press briefing, DiskarTech disclosed that it will be onboarding up to 20 lending partners as it rolls out the app feature, which started in the first week of April 2021. The loans marketplace aims to provide consumers more and better options when seeking necessary financing, which is crucial and beneficial especially in these trying times.
“This is a good time for us to showcase the big help that small loans institutions provide,” said RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva. He also revealed that the app feature will soon include options for OFW and seafarers’ loans.
Fintech app for Filipinos
Villanueva also emphasized DiskarTech’s commitment to making fintech services more relatable to more Filipinos. Upon its launch in August 2020, the app has been unique by using easy-to-comprehend language and terminologies—a combination of English and Tagalog. DiskarTech is also set to become the first finance app to use Cebuano, the second most spoken local dialect.
To use the Loan feature, log in to your DiskarTech app account (if you haven’t downloaded the app and created an account yet, click this link for quick and easy guidance). Choose the type of loan you need. You will be asked to enter your desired loan amount as well as the preferred loan term (6 months to 60 months). The app also asks your estimated gross monthly income so that the system can more easily find the most suitable loan products and options for your financial capacity.
