Are you fond of Filipino comfort food with a twist? There is a restaurant with a unique concept offering some of our local favorite dishes using ‘bulalo,’ the meticulously cooked beef shanks and bone marrow that bring out the best beef flavor plus irresistible tenderness.
B&B The House of Bustek and Bulalugaw has instantly carved its own niche for foodies who are always on the lookout for mouthwatering dishes, reasonable price tags, and strategic restaurant locations. It has already become an icon for introducing with zest the flavorful ‘bustek‘ or bulalo steak and ‘bulalugaw‘ or bulalo and lugaw with various toppings.

The restaurant, formerly named ‘House of Bulalugaw,’ formally opened its second location along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City (near the Katipunan-Boni Serrano intersection) on December 5, 2025. The grand opening also served as B&B The House of Bustek and Bulalugaw’s foray into new and wider menu, as it proudly introduced new dishes like the Pancit Tapa, Pork BBQ, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Gising-Gising, Pakbet, and Dulce de Leche.
Foodies in the metro need not spend hours of horrendous travel to the congested Tagaytay City just to enjoy bulalo. This restaurant offers innovative dishes based on the popular beef shanks. Aside from Bustek and Bulalugaw, you may also try Bulareta (bulalo na parang Kaldereta), Bulalo Gravy (bulalo with gravy), Bulanghang (bulalo inspired by Bicol Express), Bukare (bulalo turned into kare-kare), and the popular Beef Pares.
B&B The House of Bustek and Bulalugaw also serves other dishes (not based on bulalo) like Beef Sisig, Dinakdakan, Oriental Pork Belly, Arroz Caldo, and Tokwa’t Baboy. All-Day Breakfast menu includes Tapsilog, Adsilog, Tocilog, Spamsilog, and Bangusilog. For rice lovers, don’t miss to try Tapa Rice, Adobo Rice, Spam Rice, or Tocino Rice. Desserts include Chocnut Turon, Saging Langka con Yelo, Mais Tres Leches Con Yelo, and Choco Indulgence Cake.

B&B The House of Bustek and Bulalugaw’s menu has been meticulously developed by its in-house team of passionate food lovers, which include renowned Chef Kalel Chan, who is a consultant in strengthening the brand’s quality, innovation, and authentic local taste.
“I am excited as B&B enters a new chapter and we welcome even more communities to experience our signature flavors,” says B&B The House of Bustek and Bulalugaw Founder Alvin Bernales during the new restaurant branch’s opening. “This is a new milestone as we aim to bring our offerings to more foodies to more areas in the metro and by God’s grace to more cities nationwide in the future.”
B&B The House of Bustek and Bulalugaw’s new branch is located at 138 Katipunan Avenue, Barangay St. Ignatius, Quezon City. It operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. Aside from serving diners via dine-in, takeout, and delivery (foodpanda and Grab Food via Viber +63 949 358 3903), it also hosts occasions, gatherings, and celebrations from birthdays to baptisms and reunions.
