British crooner Sam Smith is back after a two-year hiatus in the music scene. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter has recently released a new track, ‘Too Good at Goodbyes,’ which is now available on Spotify.
Smith’s comeback would surely be worth the wait for his followers. The new single will serve as a prelude to his forthcoming album. Creating a greater impact, he also produced a video, which is now exclusively available also on the popular online streaming app. It will soon be officially released mainstream.
Smith’s music video for his latest single is now included in about 40 Spotify playlists, including This is: Sam Smith and Today’s Top Hits, in vertical format. This makes him among the roster of artists who have premiered vertical videos on the app—along with Avicii and Selena Gomez.
Just like most of his songs, ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ is another sad anthem, inspired by Smith’s breakup with an ex-boyfriend (though he did not clarify which one). The lyrics talk about the heartbreak from a failed relationship and about the good of getting dumped.
