Xtreme Appliances is now the first-ever Audio-TV appliance brand to formally team up with Asian video-on-demand service WeTV. Under this partnership, the two brands will jointly promote Asian content to Filipino consumers—from Korean dramas to animé, Boys Love stories, local films, and Asian TV shows.
Customers who buy an Xtreme Android TV in any of the brand’s concept stores and/or online platforms are now entitled to get a free WeTV VIP subscription for a month.
The promo offer will also cover current Xtreme Android TV users, who will obtain a month-long subscription code as well. To redeem the free WeTV subscription, simply send a photo with the downloaded WeTV app on the Xtreme Android TV to Xtreme Appliances’ social media pages or to the company’s official website.
“Xtreme Appliances has always been committed to serving every Filipino household with quality products and excellent services,” said Xtreme Appliances Vice President for Marketing Stephen Cheng. “This time, in partnership with WeTV, we are aiming to bring quality Asian films and series to all Filipinos. I’ve always believed in the power of Asian content and artistry, that’s why I am confident that we can leave an impact on global pop culture.”
WeTV has built a diverse portfolio of Asian content from various genres to cater to different types of fans across Asia. The service has been constantly updating its library to ensure there is always fresh and high-quality content that its subscribers can binge-watch and that can suit every taste and preference.
The online streaming service is unique as it is also streaming some content even without VIP subscription, while many premium titles are only accessible with VIP subscription.
“As a streaming service, WeTV is constantly looking for ways to do two things—first is to deliver the best and the widest selection of Asian premium content to its audience, and second, to give them the best viewing experience possible,” said WeTV Philippines Country Manager Georgette Tengco. “This partnership with Xtreme Appliances allows us to accomplish both—especially now that we are still spending a lot of our time at home. WeTV and Xtreme Appliances take family bonding over a few good shows to the next level, and at a great price point. It’s a perfect fit.”
WeTV is also the current owner of regional streaming platform iflix, which was acquired in June 2020. The merged brands further expanded the content catalog of WeTV, which is now accessible across 13 countries in the region, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Brunei.
