The much-anticipated movie event ‘Justice League’ is also making a mark for the newly announced partnership between beep™ card and Robinsons Movieworld.
The tap-and-go smartcard and one of the biggest chains of cinemas in the country have entered into a partnership that allows movie patrons to pay for their movie tickets using their beep cards. This pioneering program is initially available in Robinsons Movieworld Galleria Ortigas, Manila, Magnolia, Metro East, and Forum.
To use a beep card for payment, moviegoers just have to present their card at the cinema ticket counter, where they would be guided to tap it to a payment machine for a convenient, fast, and cashless transaction. Concessionary beep card holders should present their Senior Citizen or PWD ID when purchasing movie tickets to be able to continue getting their mandatory discounts.
First partnership with an entertainment brand
“Since we launched in October 2015, the beep card has taken you places by train and bus, and even got you through toll ways and convenience stores,” said AF Payments Inc. President and CEO Peter Maher. “We’re thrilled to partner with Robinsons Movieworld and offer new experiences to beep cardholders.”
The partnership with Robinsons Movieworld is beep’s first with an entertainment brand and first with Robinsons group. In the future, consumers could expect to use their beep cards when making payments at Robinsons Snack Bars, Parking, and food court. beep cardholders can already load their cards in all Robinsons department store payment centers.
“We’re very honored to be the first cinema partner of beep card,” said Robinsons Movieworld Senior Marketing Manager Michelle Araullo. “Robinsons Movieworld is pioneering in terms of payment options, as we have the most number of choices compared to our competitors. We always leverage on the use of technology because we know that this is the way of the future.”
