If you are among those who need to track the evacuation centers across Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna amid the ongoing Taal Volcano eruption crisis, the new online tool created by Google Philippines will be most helpful to you. The giant tech firm has rolled out a consolidated map of centers across the three provinces that currently serve as temporary shelters for over 70,000 individuals who have been displaced from communities surrounding the Taal Volcano following its abrupt initial eruption on January 12, 2020.
The consolidated crisis map is aimed to be a helpful aid for individuals who need shelter, those who intend to conduct rescue and assistance, and those who are reaching out to extend help through donations.
To access the crisis map, click this link or click the ‘Evacuation Centers for the Taal Eruption’ link on the Google search page. It is also up in the search engine’s social media pages. To report critical information or to enlist more evacuation centers you know that may yet to be included in the map, you may send an email to phmappers@gmail.com.
