KFC Philippines has formally welcomed and announced the latest addition to its growing list of brand ambassadors—PBB Collab Edition ex-celebrity housemate Emilio Daez.
The 25-year-old rising actor became popular after his much-talked about stint at the historic Pinoy Big Brother edition, the first collaborative season featuring celebrities from erstwhile rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA Network. Daez is also known for his breakout roles, including a recently concluded action-suspense primetime TV series and an ongoing youth-oriented digital series. He also hosts the online talk session of a Sunday afternoon variety TV show.
During the ceremonial contract signing held on July 30 at KFC Philippines’ headquarters in Quezon City, the giant fast-food chain expressed confidence about how Daez could bring about charm, authenticity, and strong connection with the country’s younger generation.
“KFC continues to push the boundaries of flavor and experience, and the addition of Emilio Daez signals a bold new chapter for the brand as it gears up for more finger-lickin’ good excitement in 2025,” said KFC Philippines General Manager Jojo Marcelo.
Charmaine Bautista-Pamintuan, KFC Philippines’ Chief Marketing Officer directly addressed Daez. “Welcome to KFC. We started a partnership with you way back in 2024, when KFC did the first Kentucky Town in the Mall of Asia. We had you again in May this year. We saw how much you have grown, so we want to be a part of your journey. This fresh partnership is the start of hopefully more years to come.”
Bautista-Pamintuan even described how Daez fits the KFC brand. “Emilio is K, as he is a very kind-hearted spirit; F as he is friendly and approachable; and C, he is cool and charming.”
For his part, Daez expressed his gratitude to KFC Philippines for choosing him to be part of the KFC family. “I am learning a lot from this journey. It’s just the beginning,” he said, after revealing that he eats at KFC at least three times a week, even enumerating his favorite menu entries, which include almost everything offered by the fastfood chain.
A former banker before deciding to join the entertainment industry, Daez also expressed his aspiration to someday own his own KFC franchise. But he jested that for now, he would just enjoy the experience of joining the roster of fun-loving ambassadors of the brand. KFC hinted of a TV commercia featuring Daez to be released soon.
