Edited Press Release
John Aguilar, the producer and host of the groundbreaking reality TV show ‘The Final Pitch‘ identifies the multiple roles he has been playing in this lifetime–entrepreneur, TV producer, athlete, husband, and father. At 47, he says his is a mindset built from years of discipline in sport.
Up to now, Aguilar identities himself as an athlete. That outlook, he explained, has influenced how he approaches business, creativity, and family life. And those has helped him author his latest book ‘The Art & Science of Peak Performance,’ which was successfully launched on September 6 at the Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.
“Regardless of what we do, we have to take care of our bodies,” he said. “For me, that discipline comes from sport. Day in and day out, I try to be consistent, to do things in moderation, and to make time for recovery and downtime. That’s how I’ve learned to balance all the other parts of my life.”

John Aguilar shares insights on health, longevity, and everyday choices for living at your best.
Lessons carried over
The Art & Science of Peak Performance draws on this balance, exploring seven areas that shape long-term health and well-being: sleep, nutrition, mindset, training, recovery, disease prevention, and biohacking. Aguilar connects lessons from the field to practical advice for daily living—from managing energy and focus to sustaining motivation over time.
What makes the book unique, he explained, is that it doesn’t separate physical health from professional or personal success. Instead, it shows how the same mindset that drives athletes can help people perform better in business, relationships, and everyday life.
A playbook for modern living
Aguilar noted that readers from different walks of life—teenagers, professionals, even seniors—can adapt these principles to their own needs. Whether that means getting better sleep, eating more mindfully, or simply moving consistently, the book emphasizes sustainable choices that compound over time.
“The athlete in me always wants to prepare for the next challenge,” Aguilar said. “That’s what this book is about—not just pushing limits, but building habits that allow us to show up for the people and goals that matter most.”
The Art & Science of Peak Performance is now available in select National Book Store branches in Manila, across Southeast Asia, and globally on Amazon.
