The Apple TV app is now instantly accessible on select Sony smart TVs through a software update. Sony Philippines has announced that users of the brand’s X9000H series TVs can now seamlessly enjoy Apple TV+, Apple TV channels, new and popular movies, and personalized and curated recommendations.
The Apple TV app makes it possible to watch TV shows and movies in one place. It features Apple TV+, Apple’s new video subscription service offering original shows, movies, and documentaries from the most creative storytellers around the world. Among the popular titles featured these days are ‘The Morning Show,’ ‘Defending Jacob,’ ‘Greyhound,’ ‘See,’ ‘The Banker,’ ‘Beastie Boys Story,’ and ‘Boys State.’
Sony’s smart TVs facilitate easy access to a wide range of content and services. With the brand’s impressive features, users can experience each content just as how its creator intends via the Apple TV app. Through select Sony smart TVs, users can now browse the Apple TV app to purchase or rent new and popular movies, including titles available in 4K HDR and with Dolby Atmos. They can also enjoy personalized and curated recommendations and access a library of movie purchases from Apple.
Those select Sony smart TVs can also facilitate an effortless playing of videos and other content from users’ iPhone, iPad, or Mac streamed directly to the TV via AirPlay 2. Meanwhile, through HomeKit2, Sony smart TV users can easily and securely control their TVs using the Home app or through commanding Siri on their Apple devices.

For a limited period, customers can enjoy a free subscription for a year to Apple TV+ when they buy a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, or Mac.
The Apple TV app will also be instantly accessible through a software update on other selected 2018 models and most other 2019 and 2020 models of Sony TVs by the end of this year.
